The 4th Regulatory Conference on Nuclear Safety in Europe is taking place in Brussels from 28 to 29 June 2017.
The first topical peer review of the nuclear facilities in the EU, in line with the provisions of the revised Nuclear Safety Directive 2014/87/Euratom, has been launched.
A ceremony inaugurating the operation of fixed detection systems for monitoring radiation was held on Wednesday, February 15, at Kipoi Customs. Kipoi Customs thus become the sixth customs station of the country in which such equipment is installed, in accordance with the general plan about combating illicit trafficking of radioactive materials.
The update of the Agreement between the Greek Atomic Energy Commission (ΕΕΑΕ) and the Bulgarian Nuclear Regulatory Agency (BNRA) for early notification of a nuclear accident and exchange of information on nuclear facilities was signed today 28 September 2016, in Vienna, on the margins of the 60th General Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency (ΙΑΕΑ).
The Individual Monitoring of Ionizing Radiation Conference aims to bring together scientists from regulatory authorities, individual monitoring services, research bodies, European networks and companies, for the purpose of facilitating the dissemination of knowledge, exchanging experiences and promoting new ideas in the field of individual monitoring. Therefore it presents a unique opportunity to keep up to date with the scientific and technological knowledge gained at European level by experts on individual monitoring. The conference will be organized by the Greek Atomic Energy Commission, under the auspices of the European Commission and in co-operation with IAEA and EURADOS.
The 11th European ALARA Network Workshop about "ALARA in Radioactive Waste Management" will be held in Athens from 9 to 11 April 2008.
