The Greek Atomic Energy Commission (EEAE) welcomes from 19 to 24 November 2017 an Integrated Regulatory Review Service (IRRS) follow-up mission in Greece for the areas of radiation protection and nuclear safety.
EEAE presents the Greek national report under the Joint Convention on the Safety of Spent Fuel Management and on the Safety of Radioactive Waste Management.
The IRRS (Integrated Regulatory Review Service) follow-up mission in Greece was concluded today, November 24, 2017.
A ceremony inaugurating the operation of fixed detection systems for monitoring radiation was held on Wednesday, February 15, at Kipoi Customs. Kipoi Customs thus become the sixth customs station of the country in which such equipment is installed, in accordance with the general plan about combating illicit trafficking of radioactive materials.
The Individual Monitoring of Ionizing Radiation Conference aims to bring together scientists from regulatory authorities, individual monitoring services, research bodies, European networks and companies, for the purpose of facilitating the dissemination of knowledge, exchanging experiences and promoting new ideas in the field of individual monitoring. Therefore it presents a unique opportunity to keep up to date with the scientific and technological knowledge gained at European level by experts on individual monitoring. The conference will be organized by the Greek Atomic Energy Commission, under the auspices of the European Commission and in co-operation with IAEA and EURADOS.
The 11th European ALARA Network Workshop about "ALARA in Radioactive Waste Management" will be held in Athens from 9 to 11 April 2008.
