The Greek Atomic Energy Commission (EEAE) presents a new mobile app with the aim of improving public information about electromagnetic fields (EMF) levels. Upon the installation of the 'e-κεραίες' mobile app in your mobile or tablet, you can access thousands of measurement results, carried out by EEAE or authorized external contractors, in antenna base stations all over Greece. 

How does the app work? 

by activating GPS feature in your mobile or the tablet you can see the measurement results around your current location;

by dropping a pin in any location or by using the search form and filling the Prefecture, the Municipality or the postal code you can see measurement results in the area you have selected.

The mobile app - its database is also available at eeae.gr and gov.gr- presents measurements conducted from the year 2008 onwards and is systematically updated as results of new measurements become available.  The measurement results are presented in diagrams on the basis of comparison against the general public exposure safety limits. Antennas' photos, details about measurement locations and technical details are also available for the app users.   

Getting informed about the EMF radiation is now easier than ever! The mobile app users can:

  • read useful information about electromagnetic fields, exposure limits and antenna stations;
  • access the National Observatory of Electromagnetic Fields, which ensures direct, on-line access to the monitoring of the EMF levels all over the country; 
  • submit to EEAE any question relevant with the app contents.

Τhe app was developed under the Project "ΑVRΑ" (Assessment of the national system for protection against ionizing and non-ionizing radiation- awareness-raising actions). The project is funded by the European Regional Development Fund under the "Strategic Development Action of Research and Technological Organizations" ("Entrepreneurship and Innovation Competitiveness 2014-2020") of the General Secretariat for Research and Technology.
