The first topical peer review of the nuclear facilities in the EU, in line with the provisions of the revised Nuclear Safety Directive 2014/87/Euratom, has been launched. According with the provisions of the new Directive, the topical peer reviews, starting from this year, will take place every six years.
The topical peer review exercise of the "Ageing management of nuclear power plants" has been developed by the European Nuclear Safety Regulators Group (ENSREG), with the technical support of the Western European Nuclear Regulators Association (WENRA).
