Personnel dosimetry

The Dosimetry Laboratory of the Department of Dosimetry and Calibration (TDB) of the Greek Atomic Energy Commission (EEAE) has, for the past 35 years, been providing reliable and responsible personal dosimetry services, contributing to the protection of workers exposed to ionising radiation, including airline cabin crew, monitoring more than 12,000 workers annually.

It provides external dosimetry services for the individual monitoring of workers exposed to ionising radiation. It is also capable of monitoring internal exposure to radioactive substances that emit alpha, beta and gamma radiation.

Quality & Safety

The individual dosimetry services provided by the EEAE are accredited by ESYD in accordance with ISO 17025, Certificate No. 117, for measurements of whole-body, limb and eye lens dosimeters in photon fields.

External dosimetry

A pioneer in its field, the EEAE Dosimetry Laboratory designs and provides exposed workers with the most reliable personal dosimetry devices, taking into account their specific needs and the types of radiation to which they may be exposed. It has long-standing experience in the field of personal dosimetry, recognised reliability and scientific credibility.

Internal dosimetry

The EEAE is able to monitor internal exposure to radioactive elements that emit alpha, beta and gamma radiation.
